I always dread seeing someone I haven’t seen in a while, not because I’ve changed personality-wise, because I’m just as big of a bitch as I have always been, but because of the kajillion (it’s a real number) pounds I’ve put on since then. I thought about it (in the shower, the only place I seem to have my few moments of brilliance), & came to this conclusion: “Dude, you’re such a dumb-ass! That’s right, parents, & those teenybopper shows we all love(d), lied. “These are the best years of your life, so you should enjoy them!” “Once you graduate, everything changes.” Well, I call bullshit! Oh, I’m not saying that if you’re a nerd (or dork), you’ll never be friends with the “cool kids” or anything. One of my friends now was a *gasp* cheerleader.
